Running on a subscription-based platform, it provides the everyday person the tools needed to create and manage their own professional and personalized website. From building the website all the way to hosting, Squarespace makes the website creating process simple. Like many platforms, there are advantages and disadvantages of using Squarespace but with the right team behind you, any Squarespace website can become a success.

Is Squarespace Right For You?

If you are a small business looking for a more simplified approach to managing your website, Squarespace is for you. The admin area is easy to navigate and includes everything needed to design, host and market your website.

The cost to use Squarespace is reasonable too. They have plans starting at $16 a month (discounted if you pay yearly) and have extensions to expand functionality. They even have plans for eCommerce websites if you need to sell products online.

Basic Squarespace Package

Great choice for start-up businesses and individuals wanting a simple, yet professional looking website on a budget.

The lowest tier plan required for this package is the Personal Plan, starting at $16 a month.

I’ll help personalize up to 5 pages on any template you choose from Squarespace. There may be limitations on what we can personalize so this package is for those needing a simple, online presence using an out-of-the-box template from Squarespace.

All templates come pre-optimized for mobile, so your website will look great on all devices!

Once a template has been chosen and setup, you’ll have 30 business days of unlimited revisions to review the website and provide feedback or change requests until you’re satisfied with it. Once you send a list of changes that you’d like to see, it can take me a few business days to implement them and respond with an update.

If your website is not finished after 30 business days, as a courtesy, I’ll make 1 final round of revisions to help finish it up. If it’s still not complete after that, I can continue working on your website for my standard hourly rate of $50/hour.

This timeframe helps me ensure that projects are not dragged on longer than they need to be.

Choose up to 5 high quality and legally licensed stock photos from 123rf.com. Browse through millions of photos and once you find the ones you want, simply take note of the URLs or the Image IDs and I’ll acquire them for your project.

Extra images can be purchased for $25/per 10 or you can use the images included in Squarespace’s depository.

I’ll create any type of online form (contact form, application form, etc.) with inputs to collect the information you need. When someone submits the form, the details within will be sent to an email of your choice.

If you already have a logo, I’ll integrate it into your new website. No logo? No worries! I’ll create a very simple, text-based* logo for your website or you can order my Professional Logo Design Services.

*Text-based logos are provided as a courtesy add-on. Since this is not an actual logo service, no modifications are included. The purpose of this text-based logo is to simply remove the white space you would have if you do not have an official logo to use, with the name of your business in a font that matches the website.

Use social media? I’ll link to each of your social media profiles via icons provided by Squarespace.

Submitting your website to Google & Bing ensures that your website will be indexed in their search results. I’ll help you with this task by providing step by step instructions and a video walk-through, along with additional support if needed.

With a larger budget comes more design flexibility. Keep it simple or put my skills to the test with something more complex.

I’ll help personalize up to 15 pages on any template you choose from Squarespace. Custom CSS and Javascript are supported in this package so we’ll have more flexibility where called for. This package is for those interested in a more customized design using an out-of-the-box template from Squarespace as a base.

SQUARESPACE WEB DESIGN FAQS

Squarespace is an all-in-one website solution so hosting will be covered in your plan.* To get started, you will have to sign-up for an account. Squarespace offers a 14-day free trial that we can use to start on the design. Once the free trial expires, you can either request an extension or purchase a monthly or yearly subscription.

You can also register domains at Squarespace or use an existing domain at another registrar.

All Squarespace hosting plans include an SSL certificate.

* Note: To run a Squarespace website, you HAVE to use hosting provided by Squarespace using one of their plans. You cannot use an existing hosting plan purchased from an external company.

Yes, if you don’t have someone available to manage the website, I’m available for as-needed updates and maintenance for $50/hour. If you need more hands-on work, we can create a monthly service agreement specific for your needs. We can discuss your needs during your consultation.

Both packages include standard customization included with Squarespace templates. This includes adjusting layouts*, swapping out content, images, adjustments to colors and fonts*, etc…

If you want more advanced styling, then you need to purchase my Professional Package and have Squarespace’s Business Plan. This will allow us to use our own custom CSS. I do not do straight up development and try to keep Squarespace websites as easy as possible for my clients to update on their own in the future.

If you need a small website with quick with minimal customization, simple and want to easily take control of your website once it’s finished, Squarespace is the better choice. Squarespace was developed to be beginner-friendly, with an easy-to-use interface so the everyday person can go in and create their own website from start to finish. Because Squarespace is so easy to learn for DIY’ers, I mainly offer these packages for those who do not have any time or simply just want nothing to do with the building process.

If you need a small to larger website with more design customization with tons more options for extended functionality, WordPress is the better choice. WordPress is a more powerful solution due to its scalability. Although a bit more “difficult” to learn, it’s still a platform where you can easily edit your content once I’m finished designing it out.
